Start with the route, not a suction number
Sketch the rooms the robot should reach. Mark door tracks, floor-level changes, rugs, loose cables and any areas you want excluded. A 1,000 sq ft property is not 1,000 sq ft of clear cleaning area: furniture and inaccessible spaces change the job. The home demo is a stylised example, not a measured plan of your apartment.
Measure the lowest gap
Check underneath the sofa, bed frame and cabinets at the lowest point, including sagging fabric. Compare that measurement with the robot's height and leave practical clearance. A retractable navigation tower's minimum height is not a promise that every low space is accessible.
Decide how much mop care you want to do
An auto-empty dock collects dust; a mop-washing dock performs a different job. Tank-based mop docks still require filling and emptying. A plumbed version can change that routine, but only when the exact model, kit and installation are suitable.
Check rugs and floor-care restrictions
Read the carpet limits for the exact model and follow your flooring supplier's wet-cleaning instructions. For example, Xiaomi specifies different carpet-avoidance guidance for X20+ and X20 Max. Do not use a single mop-lift figure as a guarantee that every carpet will stay dry.
Make the final check local
Confirm the Malaysian model code, seller, warranty coverage, consumable availability, dock version and package contents. This site's first catalogue is a selection, not a complete market survey. We deliberately omit unverified prices and do not award test scores.
